I have been seeing a lot of questions regarding the workflow for rendering animations in Octane Renderer so I decided to do this video to show how easy it is.  I have been having a blast using Octane for my animations because of how quickly and easily I can get pleasing results in realtime.  You can learn more about Octane in their website:  http://www.refractivesoftware.com

Just wrapped up on Red Dawn @ CIS Vancouver.

This was a fun little project to work on. It is a remake of a old movie where the Russians invade USA.  They changed the Russians to Chinese in the remake and they invade a backwater small town for some reason.  Got to do some more Massive and Keyframe animation on it.

Red Dawn is out in theatres November 2010.

Rat is a model for a upcoming rig. It should have been finished already but due to being busy at work it got delayed. Hope to finish and release it sometime after the Slugs are done.

Here is a concept test for a personal animation.  I am finishing modeling these guys now and my good friend Firat from Imageworks will rig them. So you can bet it will be a better rig than the Spiderbot .

Once the animation is done I will put the model and rig up here for free download so stay tuned.

Spiderbot is a free maya animation rig. Feel free to use him for your reel\personal projects. The controls are kept fairly simple but you can still get a nice performance out of him. This upload is missing a texture file I forgot to upload and later deleted so when you open up the rig just break the texture connections and feel free to texture him anyway you want. I just used a plain material with no texture.

Hope you guys like him and please drop me a line if you finish an animation with the rig I would love to see it.
